ISOLATED

Isolated [PT044]
Plus Timbre

Cover art by Almudena Villar

Isolated is the logical continuation of Static, the previous record that Plus Timbre release in 2015.
Isolated base remains in the idea of combining percussive sounds with dark drones. If for Static sounds were recorded in public spaces, in this new record all the sounds have been recorded in my own home, pens, knives, brushes, and any subceptible objet, beaten or rubbed over different surfaces, glass, wood, metal, sand in order to get a unique sound (avoiding the can add effects) this sounds combined with each other, were able to form a special feeling. Drones were created to finish adjusting topics. The result is an album that can be heard both environmental manner or in a deeper listening. The multiple sounds have been treated one by one, in EQ and volumes.

Juan Antonio Nieto - Static - Plus Timbre

Juan Antonio Nieto - Static [PT009]

Static is a short album of abstract concrete music. The main idea was to use "field recordings" from restaurants and coffe shops, mostly the sounds of plates, spoons, knifes, etc) as well as sounds recorded while the artist himself was having breakfast. He also uses sets of found sounds from objects at home. He mixes the different timbres with minimal electronics, trying to give the result a natural feel. For this album he chose 6 tracks out of 12 - the ones that worked better with the concept. the dark drones were composed especially for each theme and then added to the percussive sounds, conveying an abstract, ambient and dreamlike sense.

LITIUM

Litium [at044]

Audiotalaia
Juan Antonio Nieto

Litium is the 2011 first release by Juan Antonio Nieto aka Pangea, the three first tracks are hard concrete music with all kinds of percussive home items and some beautiful cold and misterious drones, it's the way that he used in his last albums and live concerts, the last one is a 27 minutes track, is a changing drone inprovisation, it goes from a smooth a gentle feeling to an electronic storm of reverberations and metalic tense noises. Please be patient enough and enjoy.

Audiotalaia Netlabel is a project founded by Edu Comelles with the aim to release the work from artists all over the world. They seek for proposals in experimental sound composition, ambient music, field recordings and soundscapism.

Nuevo Ep de Juan Antonio Nieto aka Pangea para el netlabel Impulsive Habitat

Indoor originates from recordings done by the artist in his own house in Madrid where he performed percussive exercises with objects such as glasses, wood, paper, lamps, furniture and pretty much whatever he got his hands on; those objects were hit, rubbed, blowed, teared, scratched, stretched and through all kind of percussive processes. Those exercises are clearly influenced by Juan Antonio's background as a drummer/percussionist.

Juan Antonio recorded a total of five sessions and selected two and overlap them in layers giving them a brand new emotional sense. Finally he created a background based on field recordings of pouring rain over glass that he later manipulated creating an inmutable wall of sound.

We feel quite enthusiast and privileged to publish this release in a point where Juan Antonio's career is taking such an interesting turn.
